Age & Opportunity's Go for Life I’ve Always Wanted to Try…

 05 Aug 2019

Age & Opportunity’s Go for Life programme is offering 5 individuals and 5 groups the chance to try a new sport or activity for the first time to celebrate the European Week of Sport which runs from the 23rd – 30th September 2019 (see poster attached).

Last year we teamed up with sports clubs and centres all over the country to introduce a wide range of activities including horse riding, canoeing, cricket, scuba diving for individuals and orienteering, Skiing, kayaking and pitch putt for groups.

Would you like to experience the Go For Life Games? Could you chance your arm at shot putt? Try out your fancy footwork at walking football? Keep your head for heights while abseiling? Well then now is your opportunity…

We are also encouraging older adults to take part in the Great Dublin Bike Ride as part of the Go For Life Cycle Group on Sunday September 29th and will provide training for non-beginner cyclists to get them ‘up to speed’ for the event.

If you have any individuals or groups who would be interested please get in touch before Wednesday 28th August 2019.
